Can you use the existing gas hookup for my new appliance?
We need to check it against the new model. Fuel type, rated gas demand, line condition, shutoff access and connection position can differ between appliances. The gas supply must also support the other appliances connected to it. Send the model number before assuming the old hookup can be reused.
Should I arrange gas installation before appliance delivery?
Contact us with the model information before choosing a delivery date where possible. We can identify preparation such as a new line, relocated shutoff or work by another trade. Confirm whether the delivery service only places the appliance and who is responsible for disconnecting the old one.
Does the quote include electrical, cabinetry or exhaust work?
The written quote identifies what Platinum Gas will complete. Electrical work, cabinet or countertop alterations, exhaust changes, appliance moving and disposal are included only when stated. We explain what needs to be ready for the gas connection and which work needs another contractor.
Can a gas range or dryer be converted between natural gas and propane?
Only if the manufacturer approves the conversion for that exact model and the required conversion provisions are available. We also review the property's supply. Send the full model number; changing a connector alone does not change the fuel an appliance is designed to use.
What affects gas appliance installation cost?
The appliance, fuel, existing line and shutoff, access and required connection work determine the quote. A new gas line, relocation or approved fuel conversion adds work. Share the exact model and photos of the location so the quote can account for these differences.
What care does the appliance need after installation?
Keep the manual and installation records, follow the manufacturer's cleaning and maintenance schedule, and arrange qualified gas-appliance service when due. Keep ventilation and shutoff access clear. Have the connection assessed before moving the appliance, replacing it or changing the surrounding cabinetry.
