Platinum Gas Privacy Policy
This policy explains the information collected through platinumgas.ca and how visitors can ask about their personal information.
Information you provide
When you request a quote, Platinum Gas may collect your name, phone number, email address, service needed, city or community, preferred contact method, project timing, project details and optional files or photos. Messages sent by phone or email may also contain information you choose to provide.
Website and campaign information
Google Analytics runs when the website is used so Platinum Gas can understand how people find and use the site, improve site performance and evaluate marketing. Microsoft Clarity runs at the same time. These services may use cookies and similar technologies to collect page activity, clicks, scrolling, pointer movement, device and browser information, approximate location, referral source and campaign values. Microsoft Clarity uses this activity to create heatmaps and privacy-masked session recordings. Platinum Gas masks quote-form containers, fields, validation messages and confirmation areas before Clarity loads; masked content is not sent to Clarity. Microsoft may collect and use Clarity data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Clarity playback data is generally retained for 30 days, while click and heatmap data and selected recordings may be retained for up to nine months. If a visitor arrives through a signed link in a Platinum Gas message, activity through that recipient link may be connected to the outreach campaign whose link was used so follow-up can reflect the pages viewed and browser-reported active time. Because a signed link can be forwarded, this activity does not prove that the named contact personally visited. The site removes the signed identifier from the visible browser address and keeps it only for the current browser session for outreach measurement. Linked active-time measurement counts only while the page is visible and the browser recently received interaction, stops after inactivity, is capped at four hours per page, and detailed linked page-visit records are kept for up to 90 days. Form attribution may include the landing page, referring page, UTM values and advertising click identifiers. The tracking setup is designed not to send quote-form names, phone numbers, email addresses, free-text messages, form details or uploaded filenames to Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity or outreach measurement.
How information is used
Platinum Gas uses this information to review and respond to service requests, communicate about a project, maintain business records, understand website performance, improve marketing, prevent abuse and protect the website. Platinum Gas does not sell personal information.
Service providers and storage
Platinum Gas uses WordPress, WPForms, website hosting, security, email delivery and analytics services to operate the website and handle requests. Quote-form submissions and related technical details may be checked by Akismet to identify spam and abuse. Form entries and optional uploads are stored with access limited to authorized administrators. Optional uploads are not added to the website's public media library.
Retention and safeguards
Personal information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the service request, business records, security, dispute handling and legal obligations. Administrative access controls, software updates, security logging and backups are used to reduce risk, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

Platinum Gas may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. This policy may be updated when the website or business practices change.
